Man performing CPR on man in warehouse settingAmerican Red Cross Health and Safety Programs are an investment in YOUR EMPLOYEES' safety.

Is your company in compliance with the OSHA Standards for first aid training and emergency preparedness? Backed by over 90 years of lifesaving experience, the American Red Cross offers you the most current, comprehensive and high-quality first aid and CPR/AED training available. Our program includes features such as:
  • An innovative "practice-while-you-watch" instructional method. Fully engages students and provides more time for hands-on practice.
  • Training customized with emergency scenarios likely to occur in your workplace or school/community environment, enhancing the relevancy of training for your staff.
  • Participant materials that support learning and provide an excellent reference after training.
  • Optional one-hour epinephrine auto-injector training and 45-minute asthma inhaler training - ideal for staff required to assist during a severe allergic reaction or asthma attack - can be added to your training program.
  • The skills training required to meet OSHA guidelines for first aid programs.
Four service delivery options

Option 1: A Red Cross instructor comes to your facility and trains your employees at a time that works for you -- daytime, evenings or weekends, for a minimum of eight participants per instructor.

Option 2: For those businesses with a few employees to train, we offer monthly community classes at the American Red Cross.

Option 3: Become an authorized provider and have some of your staff members trained as Red Cross instructors to provide First Aid, CPR and AED training onsite.

Option 4: Enroll employees in our blended learning training. The first part of the training is accessed online at the employee's convenience, followed by an instructor-led skills practice and assessment.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the American Red Cross share a common goal -- keeping American workers safe and healthy. The two signed an alliance in which both organizations provide information, guidance and access to training resources on safety and health topics including emergency preparedness, disease prevention and first aid in the workplace.
