Volunteer Opportunities
for Teens & Young Adults
As a Red Cross Volunteer, students can EDUCATE school and community groups on how to best prepare for, cope with and recover from a disaster, using puppets to help relay the message. Volunteers can COMFORT victims of local disasters and help them get back on their feet by providing assistance for necessities such as food, clothing and shelter. If certified in First aid and CPR, students 16 and older can TEACH crucial life saving techniques in First Aid and CPR classes. Students can HELP others stay safe by providing first aid at some of the areas hottest events such as OSU Football Games, Concerts, and much, much more. They will gain experience in leadership and service as they participate in American Red Cross initiatives. Not only will Red Cross student volunteers be affiliated with one of the best-known humanitarian organizations in the world, they will also have fun and give back to their community. This volunteer experience also looks great on college applications and resumes!
