6-month positions available in the following counties:  Coshoction, Franklin, Hamilton, Madison and Union

  Working with the American Red Cross is a rewarding service commitment that makes a difference in people’s lives every day. AmeriCorps Members are an important part of the community outreach that is the core of the Red Cross mission. Serve alongside staff and volunteers as integrated members of Red Cross programs, learning and using professional business skills in diverse  environments. Training and materials are provided for you to help your community learn to prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.
 

REQUIREMENTS

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be a US citizen or legal resident
• Have a High School diploma 
• Have a valid Driver’s License and maintain a  clean driving record
• Be available to complete 900-1700 hours within 6-12 months

BENEFITS

• A Stipend from $6,046 - $12,100 for assignments 
• Obtain an Education Award up to $5,500 ($2,775 for part-time)
• Receive health care coverage through an AmeriCorps provider.  
• May qualify for child care assistance.
• Deferment of qualified, federal student loans: Corporation for National and Community Service will pay any interest accrued on qualified student loans upon completion of service year.
