How You Touch Lives!
The true story of a disaster is always told best by the people who survived. Read about central Ohio residents whose lives were changed by your gift to the American Red Cross.
Lauren Good turned to the American Red Cross to get in touch with her brother, Army Captain Paul Worley, who was stationed in Afganistan, when their father's health rapidly deteriorated.
Serving at Bagram Air Base in Afganistan, Paul was difficult if not impossible for the family to get in contact with themselves, and the American Red Cross offered the quickest way to get the message to him. Less than three hours after calling the Red Cross, Paul was notified and began working on plans to get home to be by his father's side.
"Both my brother and I are grateful to the American Red Cross for providing this service. It really does untie families when they need it most", says Good.
