Message from Friends Co-Chair Erin Hartong
Thank
you for supporting the Friends
of the Red Cross! I wanted to fill you in on some
exciting changes coming to the group. You will notice over
the next few months that the Friends
will go through some restructuring of sorts.
Rather
than a formal leadership structure and various committees,
Corinne McManus and I will be leading the group together and
asking those interested in getting more more involved to
join us at a level in which you are comfortable with based
on your availability and enthusiasm to serve the
organization.
We
will work closely with ARC staff to provide email
communications and fundraising appeals to our growing email
list, update the website, continue to partner with other
great young professional groups and plan four to six events
for 2008. We would like to have one or two folks take the
lead on each event and pull together additional resources,
as necessary (similar to what we've been doing over the past
few months with the programs committee.)

of the American Red Cross
The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by
volunteers, guided by its Congressional Charter and the
Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross
Movement, will provide relief to victims of disasters and
help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to
emergencies.
