FIRST AID
Gain the knowledge and learn the skills necessary to prevent and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illness until advanced medical personnel can arrive and take over.
ADULT CPR & AED*
Be able to recognize a breathing or cardiac emergency. Learn about the role of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
FIRST AID/CPR/AED*
Gain the knowledge and learn the skills necessary to prevent and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illnesses until advanced medical personnel can arrive and take over. Learn to recognize a breathing or cardiac emergency in adults, infants and children. Learn about the role of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
INFANT/CHILD CPR*
Learn the special lifesaving skills necessary for recognizing and responding to breathing and cardiac emergencies in infants and children. This class is a must for those responsible for children up to age 12.
BABYSITTER'S TRAINING
This course teaches 11-15 year-olds how to provide safe care to younger siblings and the responsibilities and qualities of being a good babysitter. Learn about basic care, safe play, first aid, professionalism and tips on finding babysitting jobs. Participants should bring lunch.
* All CPR and AED courses are a 1 year certification. The First Aid certification is for 3 years. CPR, AED and First Aid certification require successful completion of the course, written and skills test.
For those who already have certifications or have had them in the past and would like to be recertified for, the Red Cross offers challenges and reviews. Reviews are for certifications that have expired in the past 12 months. Challenges are shorter than regular courses and no previous certification is required to take this.
