Mary Navarro, Board Chair

Mary Navarro is a Senior Executive Vice President for Huntington Bancshares Inc.  She also currently serves as one of three Regional Group Presidents.  With 32 years of banking experience, she is responsible for the bank’s retail line of business, including small business, mortgage, consumer lending and the delivery network.  She also oversees corporate marketing and communications, operations and technology, as well as the central Ohio region.  Mary started her banking career as a teller and has held positions in retail, small business, and commercial banking.  She also worked outside of banking for 5 years, 3 with Amway Corporation and 2 with a non-profit in Phoenix.  Both positions utilized her Spanish language fluency.  She earned a master’s degree in management from Aquinas College and a bachelor’s degree in International Business from the University of Colorado.  In addition to serving as Chair of the American Red Cross of Greater Columbus, Mary has served on the boards of Recreation Unlimited for two years and the Consumer Bankers’ Association for five years.  In 2006, she was recognized by the YWCA of Central Ohio as a Woman of Achievement and was named one of US Banker magazine’s 25 Women to Watch.
